This is Off The Wall
Szaber Bowl
A skate crew in Poland breathes new life into an abandoned place.

The skate community in Warsaw, Poland wanted a skatepark, but the city wouldn’t build it. So with nothing more than initiative, they took matters into their own hands and turned an abandoned shopping center into a one of a kind place to come together and skate. They knocked down walls and reclaimed the rubble. It’s raw and imperfect, and that’s exactly how they like it – it’s theirs.

Someday the landowner may return to reclaim it, but the hundreds of hours that it took to build will not be lost. The friendships, memories, and makes can never be taken back.

"We had no idea how to do it. It tooksome 100 tons of debris, 100 tons ofconcrete stacked by hand. Such wasthe power of teamwork."-Marcin
"To me, the end result isless important, the act ofcreation itself is whatcounts most."-Duska
